Greeley Grandmother Pleads Not Guilty In Prostitution Case

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- A second woman from Greeley has pleaded not guilty to prostitution and child abuse charges.

Sherry Whitacre faces two misdemeanor counts in the case where prosecutors claimed she and her daughter ran a prostitution ring out of their home in Greeley.

She is scheduled to appear in court July 16.

Whitacre's daughter, Amanda Becker, pleaded guilty last week and was sentenced to probation. She was also ordered to pay court costs and fines.

The child abuse charges were filed because Becker's 2-year-old child lived in the home where police said the tricks were taking place.
