Boy Nearly Drowns In Pool In East Denver

DENVER (CBS4) - A 9-year-old boy is recovering after being saved from drowning by another boy.

The incident happened Sunday evening at an apartment complex at 13th and Xenia in East Denver.

The superintendent of the building told CBS4 the kids had been in the pool before. He said he chased them off then, but they came back.

On Sunday 9-year-old started drowning, then a 15-year-old pulled him out and began performing CPR.

Paramedics say when they took the young boy to the hospital he appeared to be breathing normally.

Witnesses told CBS4 the boys shouldn't have been at the pool in the first place.
