Plea Deal For Foster Mom Of Sex Assault Suspect

DENVER (AP) — The foster mother of a man who was accused of sexually assaulting an 8-year-old girl in Denver last year has pleaded guilty to perjury.

Sylvia Luckett is scheduled to be sentenced June 28.

She was originally charged with being an accessory to a crime. Prosecutors accused her of lying to police to help Bret Lee Thompson flee as police investigated him in connection with the assault.

Prosecutors said Friday that Luckett pleaded guilty in May to perjury.
