Structure Fire Spreads To Wildland Areas In Avon
AVON, Colo. (CBS4) - Firefighters responded to a large structure fire in Eagle County on Monday afternoon.
The structure is a condominium complex in the town of Avon. The fire started around 4:30 p.m.
Gail McFarland from the Eagle River Fire Protection District said the fire has spread to some neighboring wildland areas near Nottingham Road because of strong winds.
One structure has been destroyed and one damaged. About three acres of wildland has burned as well.
No other details have been released.
