Fire Bans On Federal Lands Enacted In Time For Memorial Day Weekend
EAGLE COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Fire bans are in place for some federal lands in several counties including Eagle, Garfield, Mesa and Pitkin Counties.
That means no fires of any type, including charcoal, outside of developed areas. There is also no smoking except in vehicles and buildings.
Campfires are allowed but only in designated fire grates.
The White River National Forest is not included in the fire ban.
