Single Coyote Responsible For 4 Attacks In Broomfield

BROOMFIELD, Colo. (CBS4) - Experts say a single coyote is responsible for four attacks in Broomfield last year.

The coyote was killed after the fourth attack. All of the coyote encounters happened around dusk near the same trails in the Anthem Highlands neighborhood of Broomfield.

One father actually showed CBS4 how his child almost got bit by the animal.

Researchers from three universities did studies on the activity between last July and September. The report suggests the when walking a pet around dusk always have it on a leash, and don't leave food out for animals.
