Wildfire in Gilpin County Prompts Voluntary Evacuations
GILPIN COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A wildfire in Gilpin County has prompted voluntary evacuations in Golden Gate Canyon State Park Saturday afternoon.
The fire is about a half acre in size.
A reverse 911 call went out to residents in a two-mile radius of the fire. That included residents of both Jefferson and Gilpin counties.
Officials believe lightning caused the fire.
