Mother From Sterling Pleads Guilty To Killing Her Son
DENVER (CBS4) - A mother pleaded guilty late Wednesday afternoon in the death of her young son.
The body of 3-year-old Caleb Pacheco was found in January stuffed under a mobile home in Sterling.
In a deal with prosecutors, Pacheco's mother, Juanita Kinzie, 24, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death. She'll get a long prison term at sentencing in June.
Prosecutors claimed Kinzie admitted to her son's death to her ex-boyfirend. The boy had been missing for a year. Neighbors noticed an odor coming from the home and called police.
