$50 Can Go A Long Way Just Between Friends

CASTLE ROCK, Colo. (CBS4)- The Just Between Friends consignment sale has become a right of passage for many new mothers and those who are experienced at getting a great deal on gently used and sometimes new kids stuff.

The Just Between Friends children's consignment sale is an event that happens in several communities in the Denver metro area several times a year. The next event is at the Douglas County Fairgrounds in Castle Rock April 13-15.

There is everything for kids and babies at the sale, including clothing, toys, exersaucers, bouncy seats, bathtubs, baby swings, Boppy pillows, high chairs and baby accessories.

CBS 4 On Your Side Money Saver Suzanne McCarroll followed three women on a special challenge: how far could they make $50 go at the JBF sale?

Tameka bought seven items for $50.

"And then for my little guy, my 5-month-old, it's kind of like a miniature exersaucer, a space-saver high chair it's $8 and and the vibrating seat is $6," said Tameka.

Allie spent her $50 on toys, lots of them.

"So we got a Littlest Pet Shop, a horse stable, some My Little Ponies, a Barbie, a Nerf dart board, a Transformer, a Bumblebee helmet and a K'Nex table," said Allie.

Eight year old Riley and her mom shopped for spring clothes.

"This Children's Place denim jacket is $9 and a Speechless dress for $4.50," said Riley's mom.
