Commerce City Mom Remains In Jail
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4) - A mother accused in the death of her 7-month-old baby remains in jail, and police are remaining tight lipped about their investigation.
Sharrieckia Page made her first court appearance Monday morning. She is being held on charges of child abuse resulting in death.
Her cousin in Illinois called police after becoming concerned about the baby.
Police sent out a news release saying they are working with the Adams County District Attorney's office on the case. They so far are not sying if the child's body has been located, but they did appear to gather evidence from Page's apartment and a dumpster outside of it on Friday.
Page has two other children and CBS4 has been notified that they are both safe.
