Soldier In Custody Over Motorcycle Club Shooting
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs police say a second man taken into custody after a deadly shooting near the clubhouse of the Sin City Disciples motorcycle club is a Fort Carson soldier.
Police say the Army post transferred custody of 27-year-old John Anthony Burrell to Colorado Springs police on Wednesday after detectives obtained an arrest warrant for him. Officers say Burrell will be held on suspicion of first-degree murder in the death of 31-year-old Virgil "Jason" Means of Colorado Springs. Burrell has an unlisted phone number.
Police say Means died of a gunshot wound March 3 after shots were fired at a vehicle carrying him away from the clubhouse following a disturbance.
Last week police arrested 30-year-old Sin City Disciple member Christopher Mountjoy of Fountain on suspicion of first-degree murder in the case.
