Shooting In Northeast Denver Forces Lockdown Of 7 Schools
DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police responded to a fatal shooting Monday afternoon that forced the lockdown of seven nearby schools.
The shooting happened near 29th and Franklin Street. Police said it was a drive-by shooting.
Police said the victim was a 19-year-old man. No other details have been released.
East and Manual high schools; Mitchell, an administration building; Cole Art & Science Academy; Whittier K-8; Wyatt Edison Charter School; and Columbine Elementary all had been locked down.
The suspect vehicle may be a newer model red Ford Mustang.
