Denver Police Want Help Locating Sexually Violent Predator

UPDATE: Many years after the publication of the story below, CBS4 became aware that Jermon Jones' case was dismissed by the Denver District Attorney's Office and his conviction was vacated.

DENVER (CBS4) - Denver police would like the public's help locating a sexually violent predator.

Sonny Jackson with Denver police said an arrest warrant has been obtained for Jermon Lee Jones, 31. He's wanted for failing to register as a sex offender and probation violation.

Jackson said Jones was convicted of sexual assault in June 2011 and determined to be a sexually violent predator. He was released to probation on a $50,000 bond and never re-registered with Denver police or probation.

Jones is described as being black, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds with black hair and brown eyes and tattoos on both sides of his neck.
