Woman Sentenced For Locking Son In Room For Most Of 3 Years
WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - A mother who locked her teenage son in a filthy room for most of three years is headed to prison.
On Wednesday a judge in Weld County sentenced Amanda Jolliff of Erie to three years. She pleaded guilty to felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor child abuse.
Jolliff's 14-year-old son was found hiding under a neighbor's porch last fall. Police say the boy escaped while Joliff and her boyfriend were on vacation.
