WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – A mother who locked her teenage son in a filthy room for most of three years is headed to prison.

On Wednesday a judge in Weld County sentenced Amanda Jolliff of Erie to three years. She pleaded guilty to felony false imprisonment and misdemeanor child abuse.

Jolliff’s 14-year-old son was found hiding under a neighbor’s porch last fall. Police say the boy escaped while Joliff and her boyfriend were on vacation.

Jolliff’s boyfriend was sentenced to 60 days in jail on Monday.

So someone who probably doesn’t derserve to be called a Human Being commits this horrible atrocity against a child and you focus on her weight? Do you think someone who was thinner couldn’t commit such a crime? Or that if she were to lose weight, she would have not thought to do such a thing? Grow up and learn to focus on the issue, you idiot.

3 years? That is all this waste of skin gets? They should have sentenced her to 20 years without parole. The Judge should be removed from the bench, and the prosecutor should join her for not trying hard enough. I hope the kid is doing well, and has found a loving family. This is an absolute travesty of Justice.
