WARD, Colo. (CBS4) – One person was hurt in a house fire in Ward on Sunday.

The fire started at about 8 p.m. Sunday with reports of possible explosions.

Firefighters told CBS4 the person who was hurt was taken to the hospital but is expected to be okay.

Fire crews knocked out the fire sometime before 10 p.m.

The small town of Ward is along Highway 72 just north of Nederland.
