CBS4 General Manager Named Father Of The Year

DENVER (CBS4)- CBS4 General Manager Walt DeHaven was given a special honor Wednesday night -- Father of the Year.

DeHaven was one of four men in the Denver metro area honored by the Father's Day Council.

He feels it's an important distinction.

"It's about my kids, my family. Being honored as a father is a far bigger thing to me than being honored as a television person," said DeHaven.

The Fathers of the Year are honored for serving as role models to their children and for making a difference in the community.
