Credit cards like Bank of America's cash rewards program give card holders three percent cash back on gas purchases.
King Soopers allows shoppers to earn fuel points by buying groceries, gift cards and prescriptions. Every time shoppers spend $100 or more they save 10 cents per gallon at participating gas stations.
Some gas stations still offer a discount to drivers who pay cash for their gas.
