FBI: 2 Suspected In Denver-Area Bank Robberies

DENVER (AP) - FBI agents say they believe two people are responsible for two different strings of bank robberies in the Denver-Boulder area.

The agency said Tuesday one person is suspected of robbing Wells Fargo Bank in Golden in September, Key Bank in Thornton in November, Great Western Bank in Boulder in December and First Bank in Boulder in January.

Investigators call the suspect the "Face Off Bandit" because his facial hair can be removed.

Another person is suspected of robbing Wells Fargo Bank in Lakewood on Thursday, US Bank in Denver on Thursday and Colorado State Bank & Trust in Denver on Monday.

Investigators have dubbed that suspect "The Rainbow Bandit" because different color ink has been used in robbery notes.
