Colfax Hit & Run Suspect Formally Charged
DENVER (CBS4) - Formal charges were filed Monday against a woman accused in a Denver hit-and-run.
The Denver District Attorney's office formally charged Taylor Mathis, 21, with leaving the scene of an accident resulting in serious bodily injury.
Surveillance video showed the accident last Monday night at East Colfax Avenue and Ogden Street. Police say Mathis drifted into the center lane and hit two pedestrians.
The arrest affidavit states that Mathis drove off and then returned to the scene a few minutes later to check out what happened, but then left again.
