Cherry Creek Introduces Logan As New Football Coach

DENVER (CBS4) - Dave Logan says he's looking forward to being the new head football coach at Cherry Creek High School.

The radio personality and high school coaching legend met with football players at the school Thursday night and then spoke in a news conference to students and parents.

"I care about kids, and that's the reason you coach," Logan said.

"Yes, it does satisfy a certain competitive drive that I think you have to have, but how you impact kids at that age I think will dramatically influence what happens as they get older," he said.

Mullen High School fired Logan as its head football coach earlier this month, saying the school needed a coach who could work full time at the school. Later on, Mullen cited recruiting violations in Logan's firing.

Logan played college and pro football and is considered a legend when it comes to coaching high school football. He has won six state championships, including four with Mullen.

Logan works for KOA radio and is the voice of the Denver Broncos radio broadcasts.
