Alaska Man Charged With Running Over Colorado Couple Formally Charged
ANCHORAGE (CBS4) - The man accused of running over a Colorado couple in Alaska is now charged with drunk driving and felony assault.
Prosecutors say Tex Daniels, 22, of Chugiak, Alaska, had a blood alcohol level of .204, which is nearly three times the legal limit. He was arrested Tuesday night.
Anchorage police say he hit Ashley Brotherton, 24, and her boyfriend Clayton Wilbanks as they were walking home on Jan. 1.
They returned to Colorado last week after being released from the hospital.
Brotherton is undergoing rehab at Craig Hospital after getting a broken neck, skull fractures and brain swelling.
