500 New Jobs Coming To Northern Colorado

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4) - Five-hundred new jobs are coming to Weld County as TeleTech is expanding its operations in Colorado.

The new customer service center will go in a vacant Kmart on West 29th Street in Greeley.

TeleTech is headquartered in Englewood. It handles customer service for 185 companies worldwide.

"We've gone to telephone to then email; and from email to then Web; and then from the Web to self-service on the Web; and from that to chat," TeleTech CEO Ken Tuchman said.

No prior experience is needed for the new jobs -- TeleTech will train the new employees.

Gov. John Hickenlooper says the expansion of TeleTech will help sell Colorado.

"People like Ken Tuchman is one of our biggest cheerleaders. When he's out talking to other CEOs in other parts of the country, he's talking about what a great place Colorado is," Hickenlooper said.

TeleTech is accepting applications for trainers, human capital managers, talent acquisition specialists, facilities managers, senior desktop support technicians, team leads, business analysts, service delivery managers and customer service representatives. A job fair will be held in Greeley on Tuesday, Jan. 24 and Wednesday, Jan. 25, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at TeleTech's temporary Talent Acquisition Site:
