GOP Presidential Candidates Prepare For Colorado Caucus

DENVER (CBS4)- Colorado Republicans are preparing for the statewide party caucuses Feb. 7.

In a presidential election year, Colorado political parties may choose to hold their precinct caucus on the first Tuesday in February. The caucuses were previously scheduled for March 6. Republicans moved their state caucuses to early February to have a bigger role in this year's presidential races.

State Republican party leaders said they haven't been informed of any presidential candidates coming to Colorado but don't expect to know of any plans until after the primary in South Carolina.
