Northglenn Middle School Student Investigated For Arson

NORTHGLENN, Colo. (CBS4)- A small explosion sent students at Northglenn Middle School out into the cold this morning. Detectives have taken a 13-year-old student into custody for investigation of arson.

Some sort of explosive went off in a boy's bathroom at about 8:40 a.m. at 1300 Muriel Drive in Northglenn.

Students were put onto warm buses parked outside the school while the incident was investigated. Staff was also evacuated from the school during that time.

Once the school was cleared for any possible danger, students returned to class at about 10 a.m.

No one was hurt in the blast. A 13-year-old male student was taken into custody for investigation of criminal attempt 1st degree arson.
