Messy Morning Commute For Denver Drivers
DENVER (CBS4) - Drivers across the Denver metro area were arriving at work Monday frustrated and annoyed by a miserable morning commute.
The snow began falling at about 5 a.m. and the Colorado Department of Transportation had about 80 snowplows out spreading deicers.
That wasn't enough to slow things down to a snail's pace on most highways and major streets.
Multiple minor accidents were reported in the snowy, icy conditions. Sidewalks were also very slippery for people walking around downtown.
The snow is expected to taper off in the afternoon and only a total of about 2 inches is expected to accumulate in Denver.
