Police ID Suspect Shot & Killed By Brighton Police Officer

BRIGHTON, Colo. (CBS4) - Investigators have now identified the man shot and killed by Brighton police over the weekend.

Officers responded to reports of a drunken man with a gun threatening people at two businesses Saturday night. They spotted 36-year-old Shad Pemberton as he was driving away and started chasing him.

Police said after the chase ended Pemberton got out and walked towards officers with a gun. Officers fired when Pemberton refused to drop it.
