Thornton Fire Has New Tools To Help Save Pets
THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4)- The Thornton Fire Department has new tools to help save pets caught in fires.
Invisible Fence of Evergreen gave five pet oxygen mask kits to the fire department.
The fire chief said the donation should help not only pets, but people too.
"For us, being able to tell our public that we not only have a means of rescuing that animal but providing them sort of emergency medical care afterwards, hopefully we can keep the people outside and them safe as well," said Thornton Fire Chief John Staley.
The donation was enough to put one of the pet mask kits on every one of Thornton Fire Department's engines.
Invisible Fence said it just wanted to do something to help the community.
