Troops Welcomed Home With Cheers, Hugs
DENVER (CBS4)- Some people gathered at Denver International Airport Thursday to welcome home U.S. Troops.
Denver is just one of many cities across the nation where every Dec. 22 a group of people, many complete strangers, greet soldiers and welcome them home.
The group assembled at 8 a.m. at DIA and many will come and go until 9 p.m. Thursday to greet those troops returning home. They made signs and sandwiches for the soldiers. They also offered hugs and holiday greetings.
