First Mass Marketed 100% Electric Car Rolls Into Denver
DENVER (CBS4) - The first mass marketed 100 percent electric car rolled into Denver on Wednesday.
The Nissan Leaf was purchased by a Denver driver and delivered at Empire-Lakewood Nissan.
The new owner says buying the Leaf was an easy decision.
"I don't have to pay for gas, don't have to pay for oil. We have solar panels at our house that will pay for the commute. We're actually saving money," Derek Passarelli said.
Passarelli ordered his car 18 months ago but had to wait until it was released in Denver.
The Leaf has a suggested retail price of $32,000. The price does not include a home charger.
