AURORA, Colo. (CBS4)– Police in Aurora arrested the driver wanted in connection with a deadly hit and run that happened earlier this month.

Franck Armand Belibi of Centennial turned himself in to police Friday morning. Police said he was driving a gold Toyota Sequoia that fled the scene of a deadly accident on Dec. 3.

Belibi, 40, was being held on $10,000 bond for careless driving resulting in death and leaving the scene of an accident involving death.

Gregory Havers, 55, was killed near Havana and Mississippi. Police said he just got off a bus and was hit by the gold SUV and then again by a second car going the other direction.

Belibi is an assistant professor at CU Hospital and president of Grace Health Clinic in Aurora.

We’ll never know if he was under the influence of something. Glad he turned himself in.

I think he should have taken his Hippocratic Oath a little more seriously. Its not just a cute little saying during a right of passage.

Bad decisions……had he stayed, the ramifications if any would have been alot lett (unless he was runk). Since he ran, the book will be thrown at him.

This guy has no business working as a asst prfessor at a CU hospital or in any type of related health care field. The complete disregard for human life he showed by hitting the man and fleeing is absloutely unbelievable. So it may of been an ancident and with your medical trainging you may or may not of been able to help save the man but insteas your an like a POS coward

Way to take an oath that you had no intentions of upholding, must not not mean much to you anyway the way you ran down a man and ran like a coward. You are a total POS I hope you get 20 years in prison and feel every bit of what prison is really like. You coward

I worked with greg…he was a wonderful man…this senseless death could have been prevented if this so-called “doctor” would have just taken responibility for his actions. Maybe could have evÉn helped save greg’s life instead of taking it!
