Englewood Company Tries To Fill Trailer With Toys

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) - The economy has been tough this year, but CBS4 and the Boys & Girls Club of Metro Denver are hoping that doesn't dampen generosity.

The folks at Iron Forge Inc. in Englewood are trying to fill a trailer with toys. Jacque and Nelson Wahlstrom set aside a 4-by-8 trailer to benefit the Boys & Girls Club.

Nelson says if anyone makes a $500 donation he'll match it with $500 in toys.

"Our kids are healthy and happy and don't want for anything, so it would be nice if other kids could be that way," Jacque said.

"Your heart goes out to these little kids; boys and girls who don't have anything. It's just nice to provide for them," Nelson said.

Iron Forge is located at 4000 South Broadway, Englewood, CO 80113. Contact them at (720) 312-7095 or visit the Iron Forge website.

Those who can't make it to Iron Forge can drop of a toy at any King Soopers store or donate online through a link in the Care 4 Colorado Toy Drive section.

Boys & Girls Club President John Arigoni stopped by CBS4 studios to talk about the toy drive. Watch his interview in the video below:
