CBS4 Anchors Ring Bells For Salvation Army

DENVER (CBS4)- Bell ringers for the Salvation Army are popping up on street corners all along the Front Range.

Wednesday, CBS4 anchor Jim Benemann and Traffic Specialist Jane Monreal were ringing those bells for the Salvation Army kettles in front of the Hard Rock Cafe on the 16th Street Mall.

They were spreading a little holiday cheer and helping collect money for those in need this season.

The tradition of the Red Kettle dates back to December 1891 in San Francisco.
