Alley Brawl Leaves 4 With Stab Wounds

DENVER (CBS4)- A brawl behind an apartment complex in Denver left four people stabbed and one suspect arrested.

At least three of those hurt were in critical condition Wednesday morning.

The stabbings happened at about 6 p.m. Tuesday in the alley behind an apartment complex at 1080 South Eliot Street near the intersection of W. Mississippi Ave. and S. Federal Boulevard.

Police in Denver said one suspect was arrested at the hospital. He also suffered injuries, although the extent of those injuries is not known.

Neighbors said it's not unusual to see people in the alley.

"Usually some people hang out back there. They hang out, they drink back there, stuff like that. There is another apartment complex back there. Pretty much a lot of people hang out back there," said neighbor Yogi Lopez.

Police continue to investigate what sparked the brawl that led to the stabbings.
