Habitat For Humanity Opens New 'ReStore' Store

LITTLETON, Colo. (CBS4)- Habitat for Humanity is best known for building homes for low income families. One way they raise money can help homeowners save money on home improvements.

Habitat has opened a third "ReStore" location in the Denver metro area.

"ReStore is a home improvement outlet that sells and accepts donations of anything that will improve your home," said Habitat for Humanity spokesman Ryan Smith.

"I like the fact that you are helping your community. We want to people to have a nice house and when they get their house they can come here and fill it up, too!" said shopper Jennifer Richeson.

The stores sell everything from home furniture to household appliances and even items used for home improvement like windows and doors. Some are barely used or are brand new.

"All these sales go in to help build homes for families in our community through the Habitat for Humanity program," said Smith.

All the items for sale are priced at 50 to 70 percent off.

The new Habitat for Humanity Restore store is located at 7900 W. Quincy Avenue Denver, CO 80123. The other two locations are 70 Rio Grande Blvd. Denver, CO 80223 and I-70 Frontage Road (between Kipling & Ward) Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
