Guardrail Work Blamed For Cellphone Outages
DILLON, Colo. (AP) -- Guardrail work near Dillon is being blamed for a severed fiber-optic cable that cut cellphone service to northwest Colorado.
The cut line on Monday knocked out cell phone service for Verizon, AT&T, Cricket, Sprint and T-Mobile customers. The cut also disrupted long-distance service for land lines.
According to the Summit Daily, Ideal Fencing of Erie says it checked before starting work and was informed the area was clear of lines.
