Christmas Trees Available On Federal Lands

CANON CITY, Colo. (AP) - Christmas may be nearly two months away, but the federal Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service are already offering Christmas tree permits.

The permits are valid at the BLM Royal Gorge Field Office and the San Carlos Ranger District.

The cost for a permit is $10 per tree with a limit of two trees per household.

Available trees include Douglas-Fir, Ponderosa Pine, Lodgepole Pine, Pinon Pine, White Fir, Spruce and Rocky Mountain Juniper.
