Trial Under Way For Man In Denver DJ Murder Case

Written by Brian Maass
Prosecutors in California are presenting their case against a 60-year-old man charged with killing former Denver disc jockey Steven B. Williams in 2006.

The trial for Harvey Morrow began earlier this month and is expected to take at least several more weeks.

Prosecutors accuse Morrow of shooting Williams in the head, then dumping Williams body in the Pacific Ocean five years ago following a dispute over money. Williams was well known in Denver in the 1980s as part of the "Steven B. and The Hawk" morning show on KBPI radio.

This marks the second time Morrow has gone on trial for the Williams murder. In May, his first trial was declared a mistrial almost immediately, after new evidence was unexpectedly introduced.

Morrow is not facing the death penalty but could face life in prison if convicted. He has been held without bail since he was captured in Montana in 2006.
