DENVER (CBS4) – Passengers on a Southwest Airlines flight from Denver to Chicago had a bumpy landing in April and now the National Transportation Safety Board has released surveillance video of the landing.

The plane slid off the runway at Midway into a grassy area. No one was hurt, but passengers said it was nerve-wracking.

The NTSB is still investigating why the plane slid.

  1. Patrick says:

As a private pilot myself, it appears that the aircraft overshot the runway running out of tarmac, then applied breakes at a maximum causing the aircraft to slide in an uncontrolled fashion.
