Di Mare Selected CSU-Pueblo President

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Lesley Di Mare, interim president of Nevada State College, will become CSU-Pueblo's next president.

Colorado State University's board of governors selected Di Mare on Wednesday to fill the post, which has been vacant since Joe Garcia was elected Colorado's lieutenant governor.

The Rocky Mountain Collegian reports that other candidates for the position were Michael Driscoll, provost and executive vice president of the University of Alaska-Anchorage, and Karla Hughes, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Morehead State University.

Retired Missouri Southern State University President Julio Leon has been serving as interim president.

DiMare becomes the sixth president of CSU-Pueblo in the past decade.
