DENVER (AP) - Assistant professors at two Colorado universities are among recipients of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers.
The award is the highest honor the U.S. government bestows on researchers in the early stages of their independent research careers.
The White House said Monday that Laura Bellows of Colorado State University and Alysia Marino of the University of Colorado at Boulder are among the 94 researchers who were named as recipients Monday.
Bellows is in the food science and human nutrition department at CSU. Marino is in the physics department at CU.
