Fireworks Blamed For 2 House Fires In Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) - A fire caused extensive damage to two homes in Westminster.

Investigators are focusing on fireworks as the cause of the fire. The fire broke out around 2:45 p.m. Saturday in the 7700 block of Zenobia Court. At one point 12 fire units were on scene and smoke could be seen for miles.

Firefighters believe that two children were playing with fireworks in a shed between the houses and accidentally started the fire.

Nobody was hurt.
