Railroad To Spend $10 Million On Rail Fixes
DENVER (AP) -- The Union Pacific Railroad says it will spend more than $10 million in Colorado fixing the rail line that runs from the Moffat Tunnel to Kremmling.
The railroad says projects over the 70 miles of tracks include replacing more than 55,000 ties and renewing the surfaces at more than 50 road crossings. The railroad says it is also shoring up curves.
The projects began at the end of June and are scheduled to be completed by the end of December.
