Broncos Linebacker Joe Mays Answers Fan Questions
As part of CBS4's Xfinity Monday Live! broadcast each week sports fans get a chance to pose questions to the special guest. This week, Denver Broncos middle linebacker Joe Mays was the guest, and he responded to questions on a variety of topics. Read the questions and his responses from the Riddle Me This segment of the show in the following transcript:
Brooke Asks: Have you ever hit someone so hard that you knocked them out? (Not that you intended to.)
Joe Mays: Not in the league. I've done it in college (at North Dakota State) before.
Vic Lombardi: Have you really? Did you know?
Joe Mays: I didn't know. I just hit him and turned around and it was just one of those things where the trainers came and helped him off.
Joe Asks: You have these object that stick out from your neck here and above the shoulders. What are those called and why are yours so large?
Joe Mays: (Laughs.) They're called traps. Once you work out for so long you tend to build muscle in a particular area. I do a lot of shrugs so that (makes them bigger).
Vic Lombardi: What's your favorite thing about living in Denver?
Joe Mays: The scenery is beautiful. There's so many different things that I love about living in Denver. The people are very nice. The weather is nice. The scenery is great. I'm enjoying it. My family loves it, too.
Vic Lombardi: It's a great place to raise kids.
Joe Mays: Yes, I've got two of them.
