Air Force Academy Donates Jet Engine To Denver Schools
DENVER (CBS4) - It's not your typical donation. The Air Force Academy gave Denver Public Schools a jet engine.
The Continental J-69 engine was delivered to the airplane hangar at West High School Monday afternoon. It will allow students enrolled in the aviation program through Emily Griffith Technical College to better learn how a jet engine works.
The program is certified through the Federal Aviation Administration and is one of only a few of its kind in the country.
