No Day At The Beach For The Buffs When They Take On Hawaii

BOULDER, Colo. (CBS4) - Imagine going to Hawaii and never visiting the beach. That's what the Colorado Buffaloes will be doing for their opening football game.

The Buffs are headed to the islands for their opening game against Hawaii. It's the start of a new era in Boulder -- the John Embree era. The new head coach wants his players to understand the trip is all about football.

"The only beach they'll see is when they land and take off," Embree said. "I'm telling you, it's a business trip. So they either have to get married and have a honeymoon there, or maybe we go back there for a bowl game, but it's not about the beach. We don't go to swimming pools … we're there for one purpose."

Colorado takes on Hawaii at 8:15 p.m. this Saturday.
