69 Skydivers Link Up Over Longmont For New State Record
LONGMONT, Colo. (CBS4) - A group of skydivers in Longmont are now record holders.
On Sunday 69 skydivers linked in mid-air to from the state's largest skydiving formation, beating the previous record of 56 people set in Lamar. The jump leader says it took three years of practice and coordination to pull it off.
Sixteen of the jumpers are former and current cadets from the Air Force Academy. The youngest jumper was 19 and the oldest was 67.
