Fort Collins To Vote On Dispensaries

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (AP) - Voters in Fort Collins will decide whether the city should allow medical marijuana dispensaries.

Ray Martinez turned in petitions seeking an ordinance prohibiting marijuana dispensaries and grow operations and the City Council agreed to put the proposed measure on the Nov. 1 ballot.

Martinez says Fort Collins has become a sanctuary city for medical marijuana.

According to the Denver Post, Terri Gomez supports the marijuana businesses. Gomez says if Fort Collins moves to bar the dispensaries, there will be no oversight for those who choose to grow their medical marijuana at home or for those who seek it from a caregiver.
