City Panel Studying Stock Show Move Wants Proof Of Benefits

DENVER (Denver Business Journal) - Members of an ad hoc city committee looking at the potential relocation of the National Western Stock Show out of Denver pressed event officials during their first meeting Tuesday to prove that such a move will help the show's finances and that they've examined other locations within the city.

Denver Mayor Michael Hancock assembled the National Western Stock Show Working Group in early July to figure out a "win-win-win" scenario for the 105-year-old show, whose leaders say their current location east of downtown is making them uncompetitive for national events.
