Denver To LA Flight Makes Emergency Landing

HAYDEN, Colo. (AP) - An American Eagle flight from Denver to Los Angeles carrying 36 passengers and crew made an emergency landing at Yampa Valley Regional Airport on Tuesday because of a strong electrical odor in the cockpit.

Airline spokeswoman Andrea Huguely said Flight 3822 landed safely. The passengers were taken by shuttle back to Denver on Tuesday night to be re-routed on another flight to Los Angeles.

The plane, an Embraer 140 that seats as many as 44 passengers, has been put out of service while the incident is investigated, according to Steamboat Today.
